Peristaltic movement is important for babies as it helps them suck out milk. The Pigeon bottle encourages this tongue motion to ease the child in feeding. The soft and flexible material of the nipple also allows smoother tongue movements so the feeding process is quicker. It has the same elasticity as a mother's breast so that natural motions are elicited by the child.

The bottle also comes with an Air Ventilation System (AVS™) which controls the air pressure in the bottle. This keeps a check on the milk flow of the bottle so the baby doesn't choke or swallows too much at once. It also decreases intake of air bubbles.
